I was born in Aachen, Germany. Son of a prominent engraver and sculptor in stone. I work in this family industry until I'm 22 years old. Then he was employed in architecture and design companies. There he developed a style with scaffolding in sight and equally refined appearance, which I apply to his large number of works. In 1930 I emigrate to the United States. In the design of its furniture you can appreciate the pure style: classical modernism of the twentieth century. His famous phrase: Less is better, revived the desire for the simple but at the same time with the appearance of luxury.
The creations of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, also encompassing its architecture, stand out for its elegant clarity, stability and extremely high quality. The 'father' of the Bauhaus style has managed to influence the daily life of people thanks to its avant-garde designs. The shapes of the objects that we use every day (chairs, armchairs, tables ...) seem to be reduced to the minimum, but they develop a beauty that the spectator can not miss. The furniture offered here is aesthetically convincing due to its 'simplicity' in terms of appearance, comfort, elegance and functionality.
